LIVIN.ROOM Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are a contract between you and Livin.Room LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (“LIVIN.ROOM,” “we,” “us”). Welcome to LIVIN.ROOM — a community for platonic friendship. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use.

What LIVIN.ROOM is

LIVIN.ROOM helps adults find platonic friends nearby, chat after a mutual I’d hang, and meet in person — one on one or in member-hosted Rooms. It is built only for platonic friendship — romantic dating, hookups, and nightlife pickup are outside this community. Friendships here are meant to be genuine, respectful, and in-person.

Community standards

We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. That includes hate speech, harassment, sexual solicitation, threats of violence, and other material that makes the community unsafe.

  • We filter objectionable text before it is posted where we can, and we review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior.
  • Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
  • Accounts that post objectionable content or abuse other members are removed from LIVIN.ROOM.

You can report a person from their profile or a chat ⋯ menu, report a message by long-pressing it, and report or block from someone else’s story ⋯ menu. Contact: hello@enterlivinroom.com.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 21 years old to use LIVIN.ROOM.
  • You must provide accurate information about your identity during sign-up and verification.
  • One person, one account. Do not create multiple accounts or impersonate others.

Community guidelines

You agree to treat other members with respect and to keep the room safe:

  • Be honest in your profile and interactions.
  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, or unwanted romantic or sexual advances.
  • No spam, scams, or solicitation.
  • No sharing of another member’s private information without consent.
  • Report or block behavior that makes the community unsafe.

We may warn, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these guidelines.

I’d hang and chat

Say I’d hang from Explore or a profile to send a friend request. Chat unlocks after a mutual connection. Use messages for friendly conversation — not for harassment, spam, or off-platform scams.

Rooms and in-person hangs

LIVIN.ROOM includes member-hosted Rooms (small group hangs) and tools to plan one-on-one hangs after you both say I’d hang. Some gatherings listed in the app share venue details after you RSVP “Going” and your profile is approved; a check-in QR code may appear once those details are visible.

We do not currently operate a company-hosted Room Zero program.

You are responsible for your own safety and conduct when you meet anyone in person. Livin.Room LLC does not supervise in-person conduct, is not a party to your hangs or Rooms, and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of members, hosts, venues, or anyone else you meet through the service.

Your content

You retain ownership of photos, messages, and other content you post. By posting content, you grant Livin.Room LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and moderate that content in connection with operating the service, until you or we delete it. We may also retain copies as needed for safety, backup, and to comply with law. Do not post content you do not have the right to share.

Verification

We may require a verification selfie to confirm you are a real person. Verification helps keep the community trustworthy. Misrepresenting your identity may result in removal.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information. By using LIVIN.ROOM, you also agree to that policy.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time under Settings → My Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the community.

Disclaimer

LIVIN.ROOM is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or specific outcomes from using the app. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that members, hangs, or Rooms will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Livin.Room LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from these terms or your use of the service — including in-person meetings.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0 — the app is free and we do not offer paid in-app purchases) or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50).

Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Livin.Room LLC and its officers, members, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your content; (b) your use of the service; (c) in-person meetings, hangs, or Rooms you attend or host; and (d) your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Apple App Store

The LIVIN.ROOM iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store. These terms are between you and Livin.Room LLC, not Apple. Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Livin.Room LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content, and for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, and intellectual-property claims. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund any applicable purchase price (currently none — the app is free and has no paid in-app purchases). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Direct questions and claims to hello@enterlivinroom.com, not to Apple.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will give notice in the app or by email where we can. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
